Some weeks ago was published by The Guardian this story about the actual human traffic in the tea fields in India and how this people, most of them girls, become modern slaves. If you have not heard about it and about all the controversy with Tetley you can watch the video clicking on the link.

Most of this people are voluntary sold by their families for the extreme poverty conditions that the region of Assam has. However, other girls are kidnapped or mislead for people who easily can sell to them bigger dreams and who promise to them a better future but which are only lying to them after all. Most of these girls are teenagers which are easy to manipulate and which probably they will not see their families again if they follow that path.

For this reason, Walk Free has organized a campaign to tell Tata Global Beverages to help fight human traffic in Assam, India. If you want to help them you only need to click the link and sign the petition. #againstmodernslavery #freetea
