Created in 2006 Juruena National Park it is one of the largest in Brazil with nearly 2 million of hectares but on June 24, 2014 the National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) held and important meeting behind closed doors, without any participation of the civil society. The conclusion of that meeting was declare of “public utility” this national park with the intention of build hydroelectric facilities in the area. That supposes to flood more than 40.000 hectares of this National Park with the risk of lose so many species in danger of extinction.  For this reason WWF has created this petition because a species which goes extinct ends forever. #SOSJurena #savetheAmazon
