Nelson Mandela’s Day

Education is the key to empower the world and the young people to let them decide whom they want to be.

Education is the key to empower the world and the young people to let them decide whom they want to be.

There are people whom deeply marks generations. They stand for peace, freedom, justice, love and their teachings or words do not only help people. They help countries to improve themselves, hatred to leave to one side their hate, slaved to teach them how to remove their chains, to the prisoner: to free his mind of the thoughts which are jailing him inside his own head. One of these persons was without doubt Nelson Mandela: a man whom had so many issues on his past but which taught us a lot. In special, the important of to listen the other and the power of education.

In our days, we are living delicate moments in which hate is a constant. An example of it could be the past terrorist attacks at Niza, the difficult politic issues in which certain sides keep thinking in bipolarise everything instead of to sit with others and to talk… Or the constant online bullying which affects to so many people out there. All of those acts does not help to go forward towards a path of respect and education if not they make us to go back.

It is for this reason, than on this special day, it is a good way to remember some of the most wise teachings of this man. Because he was not only a political leader, he was the one whom united a nation which was divided for skin colour and cultural differences, he was a prisoner for to speak of equality and for to fight in what he believed. But, after all, he was the father of a renewed nation and a worldwide humanist, pacifist and teacher.
