Today, there are the official ceremonies for the past dead of Nelson Mandela and the day in which the new Nobel Prize are given to the winners. However, it is also the day which the world dedicates to Human Rights.

It seems the tragic events happened the last week are eclipsing a bit an important day like this. Still, we must remember, that despite the sad loss, Madiba was not only a politic leader. He was a firm believer in the Human Rights and in the first article of them:

“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.”

He fought for freedom, for the end of racism, for forgiveness, for to change a nation, for to make the world change their way of thinking when they will see other human beings.  But now he is gone and it should be others who follow his example.

This year, as a celebration of this day, the Empire State Building in New York it is going to turn blue. What are you going to do to promote the Human Rights? We have an idea: “Respect them each day of the year.” #humanrights #respect
